Learn the past, watch the present and create the future.

Many people have asked me ‘ how have I remained so positive during my injury’ or ‘ how have I managed to stay involved in Muay Thai’ ?

Truth is injuries suck especially when they keep you out for such long period of times and I definitely did and still do have ‘down days’ when I have pain or cannot achieve certain techniques and movements correctly.

However one thing that has kept me motivated and less ‘lost’ is listening and watching everything!!

Over the last year I have visually learn’t from watching sparring, pad rounds, fights and generally just hanging around the gym.

I didn’t realize how much I was missing or mis understanding things from before when I was training for fights and fighting fatigue constantly.

Yes I understand training / fighting is tough and exhaustion etc is part of the game but I cannot stress more than enough the importance of rest and recovery.

Not just for physical aspects but the mental!! I guarantee if you rest well the sessions will be more educational / enjoyable and you will remember so much more than just how many knees or kicks you did that day.
